Roberto Machado

Roberto is Chod's nephew. Roberto has worked alongside his uncle Chod since he moved here from the Azores, Portugal when he was 10 years old.
When Chod built custom furniture and built-ins Roberto was right there paying attention to everything. His attention to detail was constant no matter what the circumstance.

Chod has been a professional woodworker for more than 40 years and his passion lies in working the wood by hand. In this day and age of hi-tech there's not much call for hand work except . . . when it comes to repairing antiques and fine wood furnishings.

His profession has taken him to New York, Portugal, New Jersey, Virginia and back to New Jersey. .

He has been a self-employed woodworker / designer / restorer most of his life but steady since 1992.

Roberto's first love is VW and Audis but his desire to be his own man led him to start his own furniture repair business: Furniture Detailing LLC.

Roberto has taken professional courses in furniture repair and finishes and keeps up with the latest products and techniques for furniture repair.

The damage we see on wood furniture require solutions that call upon our skills, tools and creativity to execute a fine and functional repair. We are very pleased to have many, many satisfied customers in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
